Capturing the journey of first-time parents in Raglan and at home with baby Wilbur


There’s something incredibly special about documenting both the before and after — the quiet anticipation of pregnancy, and the tender first days with a newborn in your arms. This maternity and newborn combo session was a beautiful reflection of that journey.


We began at Raglan beach during golden hour, capturing the calm before everything changed. Just weeks later, I met baby Wilbur at home for his first portrait session. One of the most meaningful moments from our time together was photographing him curled up with his dad’s childhood jacket — the same one his father wore endlessly as a boy. A full-circle moment in the sweetest form.
