Almost a year prior to this session, I was just beginning my photography journey and was photographing Aroha's sister in this beautiful whanau korowai. We ventured out into the Pirongia Forrest and had a magical session where fantails danced around us. Not long after I attended her birth to document the arrival of their precious daughter. It was such a privilege to now share this moment of celebrating and documenting new life into this beautiful whanau once again. This time surrounded by the crystal clear waters of the Putaruru Blue Springs (which holds whakapapa links for this whanau) and the beautiful New Zealand ferns.
